FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long will I need to participate in therapy before I feel better?
The duration of therapy varies greatly depending on individual circumstances, goals, and progress. Some people may experience significant improvements quickly, while others may require longer-term therapy to address complex issues or achieve lasting change. Severity of symptoms, the depth of underlying issues, consistency of attendance, and the quality of the therapeutic relationship all play a role in determining the timeline of therapy. Ultimately, therapy is a personal experience, and the pace of progress varies from person to person.
May I include family members in my therapy sessions?
While I primarily focus on individual therapy, there may be instances where involving others in a session could be beneficial for clarification or support. In such cases, I'll gladly assist. However, prior to this, I'll require you to sign a release of information allowing others to join the session.
What is the cost and do you accept insurance?
My cost is $120 for a 50 minute session
I currently accept Medicare and Aetna. If I do not accept your insurance, I am able to provide superbills for clients to seek reimbursement from their insurance provider. A superbill is a detailed invoice that includes the necessary information for insurance reimbursement.
What is a Good Faith Estimate?
By law, you are entitled to a "Good Faith Estimate" under the No Surprises Act. This means that healthcare providers are required to give patients who are not using insurance to pay for services an estimate of the bill for all medical services to avoid surprise bills. This includes counseling services. You will be provided a Good Faith Estimate before starting treatment and can also request this at any time.
